COMMERCIAL ASSESSMENT

Our Commercial Assessment is designed to provide our clients with an unbiased commercial assessment of their critical IT contracts and IT spending practices.  Here are some of the key elements we look for:

Pricing and Fees:
  • Are the fees and pricing structure of your IT agreements competitive?
  • Are you paying more for IT products and services than what other companies are paying with similar purchasing volumes or spend?
  • Are rates for services reasonable for what they are delivering?
  • Are your corporate discounts in line with what you should be getting?

Potential Savings:
  • How much can we save on each contract?
  • Can we deliver more savings with a multi-year contract?
  • Are any of the agreements in areas with little competition?
  • Can we leverage other agreements your organization has with the same vendor to drive down costs?
  • Are you properly leveraging your total spending with any one vendor?

Commercial Terms & Conditions:
  • Can you terminate your agreement for convenience and if so, how much lead time do you need, are there any penalties, etc.?
  • Are there any annual increases and are they reasonable?
  • Do you have SLA’s and associated penalties for performance based contracts?
  • Are you paying up front, monthly in arrears or do you have a quarterly payment?

Quality of Vendor and Competition:
  • Is your business happy with the quality of the IT products and/or services being delivers?
  • Are there other vendors that can provide the same of similar IT products or services?
  • How long has a vendor been in place and have other vendors been considered by the business?  If not, why?
